Ghar Chidiya Ka – Bird Welfare Movement 2026
One Home. One Nest. One Water Bowl. One Big Change.
Ghar Chidiya Ka is a bird welfare campaign by MERI PAHAL that encourages families, students, volunteers and communities to install bird nests, place water bowls and create safe spaces for sparrows and other native birds. Through simple daily actions, we can help protect bird life and support biodiversity in our neighbourhoods.
Ghar Chidiya Ka is a community-driven bird welfare campaign by MERI PAHAL that encourages people to take simple actions to help birds survive and thrive. Many bird species, especially sparrows, are facing challenges due to rapid urban development, loss of nesting spaces, rising temperatures and limited access to food and water. Small actions by individuals and families can make a significant difference. Through this campaign, participants can install bird nests, place water bowls, create bird-friendly spaces, support feeding activities and spread awareness about bird conservation. The campaign is designed for students, families, volunteers, schools, colleges, community groups and organizations that want to contribute to environmental protection and biodiversity conservation. Our goal is to make bird welfare a part of everyday life and inspire communities across India to become active Bird Guardians. Together, we can create safer spaces for birds and build a stronger connection between people and nature.
